Since I have many tedious and time-consuming work projects to complete before summer’s end, MN Reads is going to take a good long Labor Day break. Aside from working, I’ll be reading Hopeless Savages Greatest Hits by Jen Van Meter, The Tanglewood Terror by Kurtis Scaletta, and The False Friend by Myla Goldberg (if I can stop singing The Decemberists’ song long enough to make it through a chapter).
You got any good books on tap?

I’m going to spend the time writing the two reviews I have simmering in the back of my brain and finishing “Lola, California” and reviewing that then, too.
Oh, I can’t wait to read your review of Lola, California. I’ve been flirting with the reading that book since I read the Largehearted Boy Playlist.
Did you see Edie Meidav’s interview with Kevin Salem about Lola, California? Both will be at her reading here next week, I am looking forward to it.
I am finishing a handful of books, Bonie Nadzam’s Lamb, Ben Lerner’s Leaving the Atocha Station, and Laurel Snyder’s YA novel Bigger Than a Bread Box.
