What book(s) are you currently reading?
I’m reading The Eyre Affair: A Thursday Next Novel by Jasper Fforde. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if asked to describe this book. Maybe an Alternate-Earth sci-fi mystery.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character? Who?
Probably a boring answer, but no, I can’t think of one. Unless I can count Black Canary from the DC Comics Universe. Two words – Fishnet stockings.

If your favorite author came to Minnesota, who would it be and what bar would you take him/her to?
Well, if Kurt Vonnegut were to rise from the dead, I’d bring him to the Gopher Bar in St. Paul for a Coney Island dog.

What was your first favorite book?
When I was 5 years old I thought it didn’t get any better than Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel by Virginia Burton.

Let’s say Fahrenheit 451 comes to life, which book would you become in order to save it from annihilation?
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Chapter 31 gets me every time.

What is one book you haven’t read but want to read before you die?
OK, here’s an odd one for you. As a big comic book fan, I’d like to read (and attempt to understand) Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. I’m almost embarrassed to say that I’ve never read this Mother of Event Books that totally redefined the DC Universe back in the early 80s . . . God I’m a dork.
