Meet a Bunch of Local Authors & Support Indie Bookstores on Nov. 30

Earlier this year author Sherman Alexie asked authors all over the country to take part Small Business Saturday (the day after Black Friday (and all these official names for shopping kind of makes me want to barf, but that’s me) by going to independent bookstores in their neck of the woods and helping sell books.

Go read Alexie’s letter he makes it sound much better than I do.

What I want to share is all the local authors getting off their duffs and getting into some of the local indies. It’s kind of awesome — you could get your books signed, get personal recommendation, and just generally rub elbows with some of awesome writers. Here’s what’s going on around town.

I was the kind of girl who kept an obsessive list of statistics about her Sweet Valley High collection and would take great pride in being able to recite plot synopses for each one from memory. Really. Sadly, nobody ever asked me to recite them.
